Fast Facts: Livingstone

The Role is Never Static

Some roles in the Blam Digital ecosystem are visible on the surface, e.g. sales, Partner onboarding, production, delivery, etc. However, others in the team operate behind the scenes, quietly shaping what the business can do at scale. This is where you will find Livingstone.

His work touches CRM systems, automation, AI workflows, and voice agents, which means two things. First up, the role is never static. Second, the outcomes matter because they shape Partners' experience of speed, reliability, and delivery.

As Livingstone puts it, his official title is only part of the story.

“My job title is CRM developer… but I feel like I’m not just limited to CRM developer. So I think it’s more CRM developer, AI, and automation specialist.”

In essence, Livingstone is the team’s A.I. Guru and often leads sessions in Friday meetings. It is to Livingstone that we share our latest experiences and insights about A.I.

Background: Building Systems in Traditional Industries

Before Blam, Livingstone moved straight from university into an internship focused on digital transformation.

“I got an internship straight out of uni… helping them with digital transformations, helping them build workflows that would help them in the long run.”

It was not a trendy tech environment, Livingstone told me. It was a traditional manufacturing business for gun ammunition.

“It’s very traditional in the way that they do things.”

That experience was formative for Livingstone as transforming a business that is comfortable with old workflows forces you to learn a practical discipline:

A.I Build systems that actually get used.

Livingstone smiled as he told me that,

“They still use the technology that I built for them.”

Why Blam: Fit, Mindset, and Momentum

Livingstone found Blam on Indeed and soon got in touch,

“I discovered them on Indeed… searched up the website… and then that’s when I met Grant.”

In his mind, the decision was made in that first meeting. Livingstone really liked the Blam culture and ethos.

“That’s when I knew I wanted to join the company… we clicked in terms of our entrepreneurial minds… and because of the cultural aspect of the business. I think I was a good cultural fit.”

A Typical Day: Structure First, Then Output

Livingstone emphasised to me the significance of his mornings. He is a fitness junkie who has to train hard.

“My mornings are quite structured. My mornings are very important to me."

He starts early and trains consistently.

“Wake up 6:30 to 7… go to the gym… I try to work out five to six times a week.”

Livingstone enjoys the challenge and the discipline of strength training that bodybuilding brings to his days.

“I do like the bodybuilding aspect… weights are fun… it gives you something challenging to do and then the community you end up building… quite cool.”

After training, he plans the day with intention rather than reacting to it.

“After I come back from the gym, I’ll set the goals that I want to achieve on that specific day and then outline everything.”

From there on in, Livingstone’s day includes debriefs, technical progress checks, and operational monitoring.

“I attend the sales calls… give a debrief of my day… after that I end up having to check if anything’s happened to the voice agent… so I can do call analysis.”

What He Loves About the Role

Livingstone described his role as dynamic and technology-led. He loves his tech.

“I like that my role is dynamic. It’s ever-changing… because the technology is always changing. So I’m always on the lookout for new things.”

Also, he loves to be challenged, even when it's a frustrating work issue to solve.

“It’s challenging… in the moment I don’t like it because I’m scratching my head… thinking, ‘Oh no, what do I have to do now? Why is it not working?’”

But that’s the point. It is not a role where answers are handed to you. It is the iterative process that he thrives on.

“I do like it that it’s not too easy… the problem-solving aspect.”

Three Words That Fit the Person

When asked to describe himself in three adjectives, Livingstone’s choices were telling.

“Entrepreneurial… ambitious… and empathetic.”

The entrepreneurial trait started early and cultivated ambition in him.

“Grew up with entrepreneurship around me… family dinners weren’t really family dinners. They were talking about business.”

And empathy shows up as care with language and impact towards others.

“I tend to… understand how other people would feel… I really take care of my choice of words.”

Advice to Future Blam Digital Partners

His advice is simple and Partner-focused.

“Go for it. We’re here to support you… We’re quick, we’re reliable, we’re technical.”

He also highlights the depth and expertise of the team.

“We have a lot of team members that are creative… a good blend of people with different skill sets… that want the company to win.”

And he brings it back to outcomes.

“We like to see results. So, we’re here for you.”

Final Words

Livingstone’s value to Blam clearly lies in the intersection of systems, automation, and practical delivery. He eagerly builds and maintains the infrastructure that helps Partners move faster, respond better, and operate with fewer bottlenecks.

In a company that is centred on AI-Driven services, that combination of structured discipline, technical curiosity, and human awareness is exactly what you need behind the scenes.

Thank you, Livingstone, for a really interesting interview.
